Terms for restaurants

The service

[Business name] provides a digital menu that customers open by scanning a QR code or tapping an NFC tag, and a dashboard to edit it, with unlimited menu changes.

Prices and payment

Your plan is Tier 1 (£5 a month) or Tier 2 (£9.99 a month), as agreed with us, paid monthly or yearly (yearly is 10 times the monthly price). Epoxy QR codes cost up to £2 each, charged once (QR codes supplied at the start of a yearly plan are free); any discount on QR codes will be agreed with you. Replacement codes for lost or damaged ones cost £[4] each.

You can pay automatically through Stripe by card or Direct Debit, or by another method we agree with you (such as bank transfer or cash). With Stripe, you add your payment details during your free trial and are not charged until it ends; we will tell you before billing starts. Payments then repeat automatically each month or year; Stripe emails a receipt each time and may send a reminder before each payment. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry; if it still fails, your menu will be paused until payment is made. If you pay by another method, payment is due at the start of each month or year; if it is not received, we may pause your menu until it is.

You can cancel at any time. Your menu stays live until the end of the period you have paid for. Paid fees are not refunded.

Your menu content

You are responsible for the accuracy of everything on your menu, including prices, descriptions and allergen and dietary information. Our service displays the information you provide; it does not check it. You must keep allergen information up to date and make sure staff can answer allergy questions in person.

You confirm you have the right to use any photos and logos you upload, and you allow us to display them as part of your menu.

Using menu data

We may use menu and usage data from all restaurants, combined and anonymised, to produce statistics and insights. We will not publish or sell information that identifies your restaurant without your permission.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running at all times but cannot guarantee it will never be interrupted. Please keep a printed or verbal fallback for your menu and allergen information.

Liability

[To be completed with your solicitor — typically limiting liability to the fees paid in the previous 12 months, excluding liability that cannot be limited by law.]

Changes and ending the service

We'll give at least 30 days' notice of price or material term changes. We may suspend a menu for unpaid fees or unlawful content.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
